Proud Mommy!

I very rarely brag about my Little Boy...sure I talk about what a great kid he is and how much I love him, but to talk about all the things he excels at...that's not my style. It's not that I don't want to share his achievements, I just don't want to put any pressure on him. We celebrate everything in our house, big and small. We tell him how proud we are of everything he dose. We stress the importance of trying your best and having fun! I  would never want him to think that he had to be number one, or the very best to make us proud! To be honest, I'm proud and happy the minute he gets out of bed in the morning. Another reason I don't brag is because I would never want to make other parents or other children feel bad. Growing up, when it came to academics, I was "other children." I was just an average Joe, and that's just fine!

However, since this is my blog, and not directed at anyone, I'm going to brag away...

My Little boy is smart!!!! He came home with his first report card and it was perfect!!!! All M's, and in Pe-K, that's as good as it gets!  Even better then that, my shy guy participates in class, has great manners, and is seen as bright!!!! Aside from being a good student, he is very well behaved! I can take him out anywhere, he listens, is respectful and really appreciates all the fun things we do with him. Now, don't get me wrong he is still a kid, and no child behaves all the time and nobody is perfect. He is very sensitive, and his feelings are hurt very easily. (I wonder who he get this from) And, He can throw a fit with the best of em!!!!

Aside from intelligence and wonderful manners, he is a great athlete! He is quick like his daddy and picks up sports very easily! He is so full of energy and life, I love to watch him play!

All of these things are great, but I am most proud of his kind heart. He is just the sweetest kid. He hates to see someone sad, he is one of those, you cry I cry kind of people. If you are sad or upset he will wrap you up in a big hug. He is the most empathetic person I know. There are times I wish he was not so sensitive, because I hate to see him hurting, but that is his best quality, one that will make him loved by everyone that gets to know him. So, I guess a broken heart or two is going to come with the territory!

He really is a great kid!!!  Sorry if I sound like a bragger, but as my Dad would say, "It's not brag, just fact!" I say this a lot, but I'm a lucky Mommy!!!!!!

To my Little Bambino, no matter what your strengths or weaknesses are, I will still wake up every morning and my heart will burst with pride and love!
